One day at a time

A Good Tuesday to you all,

Nancy & I stayed at a Marriott room over the weekend. We have stayed at several Resident's Inn over the last six years and this one was not at the top of our list. It was nice to get away.

We met a Rufus & Diane, who are staying at the Marriott because they found black mold in their apartment. As our conversation went on, we found out that they are Christians! We gave them a copy of my book. Rufus thanked me and whispered, "I have some family members going through cancer right now. Your book will help them."

I am still not 100% health wise! God gets me through each day! Jesus does tell us to live one day at a time, (Matthew 7). It is beneficial to apply to our lives what the Bible teaches us each day!

I do love the weather in the Fall. I just wish it loved me too! Allergies tend to beat me up in late October and November, but the cooler weather is worth it!

In November, I will turn 53 years old. Where has all these years gone? I was 43 years when I got cancer. Wow, ten years later and I am still dealing with the side effects of the cancer treatments! Praise God I am alive!

Thanks for visiting my blog!

May God bless you richly today,

Giving Thanks

Good Day,

Have you noticed all the earth's activity lately? I have and it makes me wonder, "God, are we close to the end times?" We live in a time were what used to be right is now wrong! We live in a time when there is blatant issues shoved in our faces and if you do not agree...watch out! What is the answer? LOVE is the answer!

Jesus came to earth to show everyone that love conquers all! So, when you are hit in the face with immoral attitudes, love them and watch their defensive wall come down.

Okay, now to the business of the book. It will be in the Christmas Catalog with Xulon Press. I'm very happy to have the money to purchase the quarter space ad. God's timing is always perfect!

I am still going through health issues. My knees are still hurting. I caught a flu/cold four days ago. And to top it off, I hit my head on the wall above our dinning room table!

Thanks for reading my thoughts for today!

In His Grip,

David Walter Wiseman
ps. Buy the book and let my know what you think?
pps. Please leave a comment it you feel led to!
Thank you Jesus! One Nation under God!

It was worth it!

Nancy & I had a very long weekend, but it was worth it! We stayed at a Marriott room. On Sunday we went to Church and out to Cheese Cake Factory for lunch with Dad & Mom and with her daughter and her boyfriend. What a blessed day!

On Monday, we drove out to Yucaipa to have brunch with my Mom and my brother. Then Nancy & I drove to Oak Glen and bought some apples. Oak Glen is famous for great tasting apples.

Next, we drove down to visit my pregnant daughter, her husband and their two year old son! We talked them and played with our grandson!! We all went out to dinner too! Wahoo, what a wonderful, exhausting weekend!

I will mention that my knees have been and are now screaming at me! I am hoping and praying that I will be able to have an author signing event
soon.
God is always with you!

Thanks for reading!

Just Keep Going

Hello,

Today is the second day of Fall here in Southern California. It feels more like the second day of Summer! Just so you know, I do not feel well when it is so hot. Thank God for air-conditioning!

Please keep praying for my father-in-law Joe. He has Pancreatic Cancer. Last Monday he met with his Oncologist. Dad, Mom, Chris and Nancy all like him.

I am learning that I need to know the business side of selling my book. I have a really good tax man named Mike to help me. I am up to the challenge!

Physically, I am still dealing with my knees. I torn the Meniscus in both knees in late March of this year. Physical therapy is helping me get stronger, but has not relived my pain. Will surgery help? I have to wait until I am done with my physical therapy...five more to complete and then I will know.

Happy Friday to Y'all

Well, good day to y'all.

Today I am writing with my Father-in-law on my mind. His name is Joe and he has cancer. Joe is 75 years old and is physically active. His wife's name is Esther. If you would pray for healing, the whole family would appreciate it greatly!

Other news, my church, Calvary Chapel Artesia, bought 51 books for me to sell. What a blessing! Several church members bought my book!

I will give you a hint about my book...it is my cancer journal. When you read it, you will know me, even though we might not meet in person. Well, there is so much more about me. I am praying about writing a follow up book to, "Courage and Comfort."

Thank you for visiting my blog!

Progess

Well hello,

I'm writing this blog from my kitchen table. Our T.V. died yesterday! Yeah, right before the football season starts...yug! Oh well, maybe I watch USC online?

Now to some good news, Nancy and I have sold 20 books. We decided to use the book money and purchase promotional products. Nancy designed a banner, bookmarks, and postcards. She also ordered a Polo shirt, cap and bucket hat with, "Courage and Comfort" stitched on each item. Nancy even designed car magnets to advertise the book as we drive around town or out of town. She did all of this on Vista Print. On another website she designed can coolers. Nancy is very creative!!!

I have received positive feedback from the people who read my book. It is still strange to thing that I am a published author. God gets all the glory!

Thank you for reading,

I am amazed!

Hello,

This is the hottest summer I can remember! It has taken a toll on me. As a cancer surviver, I cannot get too hot or too cold. Yet, I know God is with me no matter what I'm going through!

May I let you know how great it is to be a published author!!! Nancy & I ordered some books from Xulon Press and then last Sunday our church gave us a box of 50 books! What a huge blessings!

I'm sitting next to three boxes which total 200 books. I am amazed. So, if you know someone who is going through cancer my book will give them courage and comfort to preserver!
