Well hello,
Its been awhile since my last blog. Time to get you updated!
I'm at a frustration place with the book. Right now the book is in pdf form and I need to change it to word doc. Our Apple needed some repairs
and I took it to Best Buy instead of taking it to Apple. Why? I do not know!
Before Best Buy "fixed" our Apple, I was able to change pages, pdf, or anything else to word doc. Not know! Believe me, I have tried several different methods.
Xulon Press needs the book to be in word document so it can be sent Processing. During this stage, the book will be read line by line to check for errors. After Processing, it goes to Publishing and then it sent out everywhere!!!
I could use some prayers to get my book into your hands!
Thank You,
David Walter Wiseman
I am a cancer survivor. My "Cancer Free Day" is January 7th,2009. On 1/7/19, will be 10 yrs Cancer Free! . I had stage 4 Choriocarcinoma. This type of cancer is a germ cell, which is damaging to your organs. People I talked to about my cancer usually asked, "So when are you going to write a book about it?" Well, the book took two and a half years to complete and the title is, "Courage and Comfort How a wise man walked through the valley of cancer and strokes." Go to Amazon.com.

The Neighborhood
Last night, my wife and I went to Calvary Chapel South Bay in Gardena, Ca. We saw a new film called, "The Neighborhood, Our side of the story." We were moved deeply and very glad to see this film!
Here is the web sight for this film. theneighborhoodfilm.com
We highly recommend this film!
I was given the opportunity to speak with several people including the pastors whose lives were in this film. I handed out many of my cards about the book, "Courage and Comfort."
I spoke to one man who said that he had a problem with fear. I quoted 1 John 4:18, which states, "There is no fear in love. But perfect love drives out all fear. The one who fears is not made perfect in love." Another verse came to my mind, "We take captive every thought and make obedient to Christ." This verse comes from 2 Corinthians 10:5.
In the seat in front of me was a young woman told me the where those verses were found in the Bible. Then, she said, "That verse was for me!" referring to 1 John 4:18. I started a conversation with her. My testimony touched her and we talked for ten minutes before the film began.
When the film ended, she told Nancy and I that her sister died of breast cancer last month! She told us that her sister was a Christian! What joy to know that when you have Jesus in your life you go to heaven when you die!
My book is in the production phase and LORD Willing will be published in December or January of 2016! I will keep you updated more often!

Patience
Good Day,
I want to inform you about the book's progress. Currently, it is in the editing phase. As a first time author, I am learning how to lean on God and wait for his timing for the book to be published.
Thank you for your patience. Lord willing, "Courage & Comfort" will be published in December.
I will keep you posted each month as I go through this process with you.
Thanks again for your patience,
David

Production Phase
This morning, May 5, I received a phone call from Xulon. For the last two weeks I thought my book was in the "Production Phase", yet they were waiting for me to buy an editing package.
I spent two days editing the book. The computer shows where I should change a word (grammar) or fix spacing problems. Two eight hour days, I spent looking for both grammar and spaces. Anyone who works at a computer all day knows how tiring this is!
I am thankful the book is on it's way to becoming a published book.
Now I must go to change my clothes. Why? I just spilled Sobe Water on my lap!
Take Care & God Bless You!

Get to it!
Hello,
Well, I received my book back from Xulon Press. An editor wrote a 500 word report with the book's good points and the weak points.
I have started on the book's weak points which are punctuation and grammar.
I am hoping to be done before the tenth of this month! I better get to it.
I hope all of you have a great day!

Translation Button
Have you tried the Translation Button on my blog site? It's so cool! People around the world are able to read my blogs in their own language. It's crazy looking at what I wrote in another language!!!
Give it a try!
Give it a try!
Good evening,
I just finished watching, "C.H. Spurgeon, The Peoples Preacher" on dvd. What an amazing preacher even at the age of 16. I was touched deeply by Spurgeon's dedication to God and the Bible!
As I wait for Xulon Publishers to edit my book, I marvel at God and all that he has done for me and with me. In March of 2012, God change the course of my life. He wants me to work for him!
Still recovering from cancer treatments, I struggled with wanting to keep my old life. Teaching Middle School and Coaching High School Football was what I knew. Slowly and patiently He has changed my life. As long as I live, I will work for God!
I did not want to write this book! Yet, when asked about what type of cancer I had, the immediate response was, "When are you going to write a book about it?" I answered, "Well, I am only one year cancer free. I don't want to remember all that I went through!" The same response happened in year two and three of being cancer free.
Two and a half years later, the book, "Courage and Comfort. How a wise man walked through the valley of cancer and strokes", will be published sometime this year!
I found such a delightful peace in my life after writing the book! Some people might suggest that it was therapy for me. That's probably true.
Thanks for reading and may "delightful peace" fill your life!

This type of night!
Good Morning,
I believe I slept about 5 hours last night. This happened to many times as I was going through cancer treatments.
I would wake up, in the hospital, and not be able to return to my sweet slumber. A person can watch TV for only so long. Getting up and putting on my slippers, I would take hold of the pole with wheels which all the fluids were dripping into my body, and walk around the Cancer Ward. Almost sounds like a Prison Ward. I wanted to get out of that place, but there is no way out!
I was a high school football coach for many years, so the nurses and doctors would ask, "Coach, how many laps have you done?" Usually, I averaged 10 laps.
For those of you who have not step foot into a hospital, all the rooms were step up facing the outside walls. The Nurses Station is on the inside. Think of a football field, that's the Nurses Station. Where the fans sit is the hospital rooms and the space between them is the Track. I did my laps on the track of the Cancer Ward. Got it?
God asked me, "As you pass by each room, hold out your hand and say, 'Blessings.'" Every room was filled with people fighting for their life. The Cancer Ward is not a happy place.
In a little while, Nancy & I will be going to see our grandson!!
I hope and pray y'all have a great weekend!
(oops, a little texan accent got out)

Busy Weekend!
Weekends are good, yet they seem to go by too fast! It's Sunday night at 9:04pm and I have a few moments to write to you.
I'm still amazed with all I am able to accomplish over the weekend! Six months ago, I would not be able to do what Nancy and I did this weekend.
On Friday, we went to the Huntington Beach Farmer's Market. Oh my, it was a hot afternoon even at that the beach. We bought a book for our grandson Jim, then drove up the coast.
Saturday, we woke up later than usual. We got carried away with our bible study time and all of a sudden it was 2pm! Howard's is a nice charming place to eat. We always eat breakfast there, but had lunch for a change. We came home and watched a movie. End of Saturday.
Today has been a long day! I woke with bites on the left side of me head. We went to Church...always good. Now, I needed to vacuum the bedroom. mattress, curtains, floors, bathroom, and in the front room. Meanwhile, Nancy is washing all our bedding. At one point, of course, we needed to eat lunch so we went to Polly's. To walk off the food we just inhaled, we went to Boot Barn which was right next door. Keep in mind, out here in SoCal, it summer time HOT!!! Just about five minutes ago, Nancy brought in the last of our bedding.
Oh yeah, my business cards came on Thursday. Nancy ordered them from Vista Print and they look great. The card has the title of my book. My name and this blog. Plus I'm on Fb.
Nancy and I are going to watch a movie now, so God Bless y'all!

The Book!
Hi my people,
Forgive me for taking such a long break from blogging!
The Book is taking more time eddying than I thought. I had to change the format, take out all tabs, and numbers though out the the whole book! I do believe I finished that today!!!
Why is it so important to get it done, you may ask? I need to have ready to send into Xulon Publishing before this Friday.
With the Holy Spirt's help, I created the "Back Page" for the book. I am sure Nancy will change it, but that's good with me.
Oh yes, if I get all my files into Xulon by Friday, then my book will be displayed in New York & Orlando, Florida. Please pray that I cam complete my mission!
That's all for now....

Long Day
Yesterday was a very long good day. It started with church at 10am. Then off to pick up my Aunt who lives 30 minutes south of us. Then to Yucaipa to surprise my Mom at her favorite restaurant. The trip took 2 hours one way. Nancy and I got home around 10pm. 12 hour day! It was a great day!
We are still having problems printing the book! Please pray that we would be able to get the book printed!
For those of you who read Oswald Chambers, "My Utmost for His Highest", one question caught my eye today, "The Lord's questions always reveal me to myself." What does that me to you?
You know, I'm a better man after Cancer! I hope and pray for people who have cancer that they will look to God for courage and comfort. Think of cancer like this: It is a battle for your life and seek courage from God to fight it. Then look for moments during the treatments that are funny. I had a nurse who liked to say, "By golly" to start and finish every sentence. Pretty soon, I was saying "By golly!" There are comforting words, prayers, visits, and phone conversations. Look for them and you will feel joy even in the midst of your suffering!
Remember, if you cannot leave a comment about the my blog, I'm still working out the "bugs."

My cancer book
Well hello my blogging public,
My first blog is to let you know about by book, "Courage and Comfort How a wise man walked through the Valley of cancer and strokes."
I find blogging about my book amazing! I'm 51 years old, this is really cool to get the word out about my experiences in life and cancer and strokes. The strokes I have had are called TIA's or mini strokes.
I will add a picture of myself as soon as I find a good one.
Facts about me: I am married to Nancy for 5 years. I have 3 daughters and she has 1. They are all grow up and out on their own. We have a grandson who is six months old!
Because of my cancer treatments, I am bald. I don't miss my hair at all.
See ya on the next blog!
