In the morning

Hello to you my friend,

It is Friday! I hope and pray that all is well with you and your family. The verses would like to share with you is from Psalm 5:3. King David states, "In the morning, Lord, you hear my voice, in the morning I lay my requests before you and wait expectantly."  This verse helps me talk with our Lord Jesus Christ even before I get out of bed. It also helps me to start my day focusing on other people rather on myself.

The other verse that I read before getting out of bed comes from Proverbs 16:3, "Commit to the Lord whatever you do, and he will establish your plans."  After laying my requests to the Lord, I prayed this verse. Now, I am a person who likes to make lists. This morning I made a list of what I would like to accomplish. Then I committed the list to the Lord. This blog is the last item on my list today! I wish I would do this everyday. Some days I may have early doctors appointments, and other days when I not feeling well I forget to pray before getting out of bed!

I hope and pray that the Holy Spirit will remind me of this wonderful dayI have had today! I am so joyful and grateful to the Lord for guiding me and teaching me how to start each day with prayer. And praying before my feet touch the floor and starting my day!

Hopefully, you will experience this same joy and gratefulness as you start your day with prayer before your feet touch the floor!

Are you weary?

Good afternoon,

Today, I am asking you, "Are you weary?" I have been so weary these last few weeks. The change in my medication and my not seeking Jesus has weighted me down!

Matthew 11:28-30, Jesus states, "Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and by burden is light." Some of us might not know what a "yoke" is. It was used to keep two oxen together when plowing a field. Usually, made of wood and placed on the neck of the oxen. Then the framer could control the direction of the oxen with ropes faceted on the yoke.

Jesus is asking us to, "Take my yoke upon you and learn from me." When we are yoked with Jesus, we have a Savior who is willing to take our burdens and give us rest. Jesus is able to be gentle with us and help us to humble ourselves.

I know that there might be issues in our lives that are difficult to give to Jesus. I want to encourage you to ask Him everyday to help you give everything to Him. Honestly, I am dealing with this in my own life right now! Day by day, I am asking Jesus to take my weariness and my burdens from me.

Keep reading your bible. Those of you who do not have a bible, keep praying to Jesus and yoke up with Him!
