Christmas Time

Hello,

Today has been a different type of day. Yet, for a cancer survivor, I should remember that this type of day comes about a little more often. It was difficult to get out of bed this morning. When I finally got out of bed it was 10:30am.

I ate breakfast with my wife and at 12:30am I was back in bed. At 3:30pm, I arose to eat a burrito my wife bought for me.

My wife went to work at 4:30pm. So, I thought I would write to you. Then I was distracted with making phone calls to find a dentist. I have already lost two molars on the bottom right. Now, I have a molar on the bottom left causing pain. Twenty days of, "Whole Brain Radiation" has something to do with me losing teeth!

Well, several phones calls later, I have three dentists to call. But, it's 5:15pm and it's too late to make an appointment today.

I praise God and trust Him! Without God in my life, I would be... I don't even want to go there!

Nancy & I have three Christmas parties to go to this month! My molar decides to act up now! Well, maybe it will keep me from eating too much at the parties😉!

Well, thanks again for spending some of your time with me!!!

December is usually a very bust month, but take some time to thank Jesus for coming to earth!

Sincerely,

David Walter Wiseman
THANK YOU, JESUS!

Christmas Season

Good Afternoon,

First, I want you to know that I will do my best to blog more often. My knees are still screaming at me constantly, yet God is teaching me to trust Him! I saw my Orthopedic Doctor about a week ago. He sent a referral to my insurance company to have the shots in my knees. Yes, the shot will be painful, but as my daughter Alyssa said, "Dad, that's nothing compared to what you have already been through!"

Recently, I turned 53 years old. I suppose for most people being a year older is not a big deal. But, when you are a cancer survivor, every day is marvelous!

If you have read my book, then you are familiar with Darin Owens. Well, he read my book and sent me text. Again, he called me a "Walking Miracle!"

My wife and I love Christmas! We love shopping together! It's so fun making sure we have the same number of gifts for our four daughters, one son-in-law, and a soon to be son-in-law. We also have her two parents, my Mom, and gift exchange gifts to buy! And, sending out the Christmas Cards... On my!

I have so much to thank God for in my life! I'm so grateful that I am alive! I have a wife who loves me more than I thought possible! I am so proud of our daughters! I
love our Sons-in-Laws! Parents who love me...I could go on and on...but I think I did this on my last blog...LOL!!!

Thank you for taking time out of you day to read my blog!

WOW, so true at this time of year!
May this Christmas Season be blessed and

glorious,

David Walter Wiseman

Thanksgiving!

Hello to all who read my blog,

Finally, I have an appointment next Thrusday with my Orthopedic Doctor. I want to know what he will decide about my two injured knees. If you have not read in previous blogs, I torn the meniscus in both knees the last week of March of this year. I have been going to physical therapy for five

months with no change with the pain in my knees. Pray for good news!

My book was in the Fall Catalog with Xulon Publishing! Now, it is in the Christmas Catalog! As I scanned through both catalogs, I realized that my book, "Courage and Comfort", is the only book that deals with cancer. If you have the opportunity to look at either catalogs, please search for my book.

Joe, my Father-in-Law, is handling his chemotherapy well! Praise the Lord! Joe and his wife Esther went to two movies this week.

Today, Joe is receiving chemotherapy. Please pray for him, Esther, and my wife Nancy. Thank you!

I would also like to mention my neighbor Ray. He is getting treatment for Pancreatic Cancer. Ray is a true miracle. He has survived for nearly two years with this cancer. Please pray for Ray also!

Thanksgiving is just around the corner...I have so many things to thankful for!!!

  • I am alive!
  • I in love with Jesus!
  • I have a wife that loves me dearly!
  • I have my daughters who love me!
  • I have a son-in-law that I love!
  • I have a grandson that loves his Grandpa! (with another grandson on the way!)
  • My Mother loves me!
  • I am blessed with so many people who love me!
Count your blessings and you will be very thankful during Thanksgiving!

I thank you for reading my blog!
I would be thankful if you left a comment!

One day at a time

A Good Tuesday to you all,

Nancy & I stayed at a Marriott room over the weekend. We have stayed at several Resident's Inn over the last six years and this one was not at the top of our list. It was nice to get away.

We met a Rufus & Diane, who are staying at the Marriott because they found black mold in their apartment. As our conversation went on, we found out that they are Christians! We gave them a copy of my book. Rufus thanked me and whispered, "I have some family members going through cancer right now. Your book will help them."

I am still not 100% health wise! God gets me through each day! Jesus does tell us to live one day at a time, (Matthew 7). It is beneficial to apply to our lives what the Bible teaches us each day!

I do love the weather in the Fall. I just wish it loved me too! Allergies tend to beat me up in late October and November, but the cooler weather is worth it!

In November, I will turn 53 years old. Where has all these years gone? I was 43 years when I got cancer. Wow, ten years later and I am still dealing with the side effects of the cancer treatments! Praise God I am alive!

Thanks for visiting my blog!

May God bless you richly today,

David Walter Wiseman

Giving Thanks

Good Day,

Have you noticed all the earth's activity lately? I have and it makes me wonder, "God, are we close to the end times?" We live in a time were what used to be right is now wrong! We live in a time when there is blatant issues shoved in our faces and if you do not agree...watch out! What is the answer? LOVE is the answer!

Jesus came to earth to show everyone that love conquers all! So, when you are hit in the face with immoral attitudes, love them and watch their defensive wall come down.

Okay, now to the business of the book. It will be in the Christmas Catalog with Xulon Press. I'm very happy to have the money to purchase the quarter space ad. God's timing is always perfect!

I am still going through health issues. My knees are still hurting. I caught a flu/cold four days ago. And to top it off, I hit my head on the wall above our dinning room table!

Thanks for reading my thoughts for today!

In His Grip,

David Walter Wiseman
ps. Buy the book and let my know what you think?
pps. Please leave a comment it you feel led to!
Thank you Jesus! One Nation under God!

It was worth it!

Nancy & I had a very long weekend, but it was worth it! We stayed at a Marriott room. On Sunday we went to Church and out to Cheese Cake Factory for lunch with Dad & Mom and with her daughter and her boyfriend. What a blessed day!

On Monday, we drove out to Yucaipa to have brunch with my Mom and my brother. Then Nancy & I drove to Oak Glen and bought some apples. Oak Glen is famous for great tasting apples.

Next, we drove down to visit my pregnant daughter, her husband and their two year old son! We talked them and played with our grandson!! We all went out to dinner too! Wahoo, what a wonderful, exhausting weekend!

I will mention that my knees have been and are now screaming at me! I am hoping and praying that I will be able to have an author signing event
soon.
God is always with you!

Thanks for reading!

In His Grip,

David Walter Wiseman

Just Keep Going

Hello,

Today is the second day of Fall here in Southern California. It feels more like the second day of Summer! Just so you know, I do not feel well when it is so hot. Thank God for air-conditioning!

Please keep praying for my father-in-law Joe. He has Pancreatic Cancer. Last Monday he met with his Oncologist. Dad, Mom, Chris and Nancy all like him.

I am learning that I need to know the business side of selling my book. I have a really good tax man named Mike to help me. I am up to the challenge!

Physically, I am still dealing with my knees. I torn the Meniscus in both knees in late March of this year. Physical therapy is helping me get stronger, but has not relived my pain. Will surgery help? I have to wait until I am done with my physical therapy...five more to complete and then I will know.

Thanks for visiting my blog,

David Walter Wiseman
