Surprise

Hi,

I'm here again because so many wonderful things are happening lately. Isn't great when you hear from  friends from your childhood? Last night, while on Face Book, I was contacted by Doug. We grew up together and I have not heard from him in thirty-five years!

Then, a former student of mine named Salvador sent a message through Face Book and asked if I was his teacher from middle school? Yes, I was, I have not heard from him since 1993! Salvador graduated from high school and is now attending college. I am so proud of him! He grew up in the tough part of San Bernardino, California.

I coached football at Arrowhead Christian Academy of nine years. Well, two of my former player are now friends of mine on Face Book! Dan and Allan were great offensive/defensive line man. I am so proud of two young men!

One more, while on Face Book, (just so you know, I have not been on my Face Book page for two months), I found Julie. She is the wife of Liton. Liton and I used to teach at Arrowview Middle School in San Bernardino, California. I taught Alternative Studies and Liton taught the Opportunity Program. Our classrooms were next to each other. He was in room A-3 and I was in room A-4. We became good friends. Liton called me this morning and it was wonderful to hear from him!

God is able to surprise you in so many ways! I am so happy to have these five men back in my life! Continue to trust and obey God and He will reward you!

In HIS HANDS,

David Walter Wiseman
Thank God for good friends!

The Main Purpose

Hi,

Today, I would like to remind you that my book,"Courage and Comfort...How a wise man walked through the valley of cancer and strokes" is available to purchase on amazon.com, barnesandnoble.com, and iTunes.

On my last post, I mentioned how amazed I am that so many people from around the world are reading my blogs. For this reason, I gave you the websites to buy my book. Now, that is not the main purpose of my blog...just to be clear. The main purpose is to be obedient to God and share my experiences with you. God is faithful and He will never leave you!

I am humbled by the number of people reading my blog! I'm also encouraged by you to blog more often. As you know, I have been waiting to receive shots in my knees. These shots would relieve my pain for three months up to eighteen months. Wow, pain free for a while would be wonderful. But there as been a delay because of computer malfunction. I just found this
out about 30 minutes ago. God's timing is always perfect!!!

So, hurry over to one of those websites I mentioned and buy my book! I pray that you will be blessed reading it and I will be blessed knowing you are reading my journey through cancer.

January 7th 2017, I will be 8 years Cancer Free!!! Praise the LORD!!!

Gratefully His,

David Walter Wiseman

May your Christmas be Glorious!

May God Richly Bless you today!

Greetings to you,

I am amazed how God is using my blog! I want encourage you to continue to seek Jesus Christ wherever you live. God has created all of us no matter the color of our skin. God loves all people and He wants everyone to come to Him and except the free gift of salvation. Thank you Jesus for being obedient to your Father, even to dying on the Cross! Jesus took our sins, past, present, and future which makes it possible for all believers to gain access to Heaven! Praise the Lord!

Today is Sunday and I was unable to attend church. The reason is because yesterday Nancy & I went to the Wiseman's Christmas Party. The party was at my Mother's house. My Mother lives about an hour and a half drive away. It was a great party! I did all the driving. I love to drive whenever we travel. Also, I was on my feet quite a bit at the party. So, when I awoke this morning my knees greeted me with pain!

God has a way to "Work everything for good to those who love Him" (Romans 8:28). Nancy went over this morning and talked with her Mother and they were both blessed afterwards. I had time to read the Bible. Now, I'm writing to you. God is good all the time!!!

I am beginning to understand what God wants from me. If you are suffering right now and you do not know why God is allowing all this pain in your life, trust God and obey Him and in His timing He will reveal to you why! To follow Jesus in this world is difficult, but the rewards we will receive is far greater than the pain we are enduring! Matthew 6:33, Jesus encourages us, "But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these thing will be given to you as well."

Read the Bible daily! I promise that the Word will bless you and keep you everyday!

May God Bless you Richly today,

In His Grip,

David Walter Wiseman
AMEN!

Christmas Time

Hello,

Today has been a different type of day. Yet, for a cancer survivor, I should remember that this type of day comes about a little more often. It was difficult to get out of bed this morning. When I finally got out of bed it was 10:30am.

I ate breakfast with my wife and at 12:30am I was back in bed. At 3:30pm, I arose to eat a burrito my wife bought for me.

My wife went to work at 4:30pm. So, I thought I would write to you. Then I was distracted with making phone calls to find a dentist. I have already lost two molars on the bottom right. Now, I have a molar on the bottom left causing pain. Twenty days of, "Whole Brain Radiation" has something to do with me losing teeth!

Well, several phones calls later, I have three dentists to call. But, it's 5:15pm and it's too late to make an appointment today.

I praise God and trust Him! Without God in my life, I would be... I don't even want to go there!

Nancy & I have three Christmas parties to go to this month! My molar decides to act up now! Well, maybe it will keep me from eating too much at the parties😉!

Well, thanks again for spending some of your time with me!!!

December is usually a very bust month, but take some time to thank Jesus for coming to earth!

Sincerely,

David Walter Wiseman
THANK YOU, JESUS!

Christmas Season

Good Afternoon,

First, I want you to know that I will do my best to blog more often. My knees are still screaming at me constantly, yet God is teaching me to trust Him! I saw my Orthopedic Doctor about a week ago. He sent a referral to my insurance company to have the shots in my knees. Yes, the shot will be painful, but as my daughter Alyssa said, "Dad, that's nothing compared to what you have already been through!"

Recently, I turned 53 years old. I suppose for most people being a year older is not a big deal. But, when you are a cancer survivor, every day is marvelous!

If you have read my book, then you are familiar with Darin Owens. Well, he read my book and sent me text. Again, he called me a "Walking Miracle!"

My wife and I love Christmas! We love shopping together! It's so fun making sure we have the same number of gifts for our four daughters, one son-in-law, and a soon to be son-in-law. We also have her two parents, my Mom, and gift exchange gifts to buy! And, sending out the Christmas Cards... On my!

I have so much to thank God for in my life! I'm so grateful that I am alive! I have a wife who loves me more than I thought possible! I am so proud of our daughters! I
love our Sons-in-Laws! Parents who love me...I could go on and on...but I think I did this on my last blog...LOL!!!

Thank you for taking time out of you day to read my blog!

WOW, so true at this time of year!
May this Christmas Season be blessed and

glorious,

David Walter Wiseman

Thanksgiving!

Hello to all who read my blog,

Finally, I have an appointment next Thrusday with my Orthopedic Doctor. I want to know what he will decide about my two injured knees. If you have not read in previous blogs, I torn the meniscus in both knees the last week of March of this year. I have been going to physical therapy for five

months with no change with the pain in my knees. Pray for good news!

My book was in the Fall Catalog with Xulon Publishing! Now, it is in the Christmas Catalog! As I scanned through both catalogs, I realized that my book, "Courage and Comfort", is the only book that deals with cancer. If you have the opportunity to look at either catalogs, please search for my book.

Joe, my Father-in-Law, is handling his chemotherapy well! Praise the Lord! Joe and his wife Esther went to two movies this week.

Today, Joe is receiving chemotherapy. Please pray for him, Esther, and my wife Nancy. Thank you!

I would also like to mention my neighbor Ray. He is getting treatment for Pancreatic Cancer. Ray is a true miracle. He has survived for nearly two years with this cancer. Please pray for Ray also!

Thanksgiving is just around the corner...I have so many things to thankful for!!!

  • I am alive!
  • I in love with Jesus!
  • I have a wife that loves me dearly!
  • I have my daughters who love me!
  • I have a son-in-law that I love!
  • I have a grandson that loves his Grandpa! (with another grandson on the way!)
  • My Mother loves me!
  • I am blessed with so many people who love me!
Count your blessings and you will be very thankful during Thanksgiving!

I thank you for reading my blog!
I would be thankful if you left a comment!

One day at a time

A Good Tuesday to you all,

Nancy & I stayed at a Marriott room over the weekend. We have stayed at several Resident's Inn over the last six years and this one was not at the top of our list. It was nice to get away.

We met a Rufus & Diane, who are staying at the Marriott because they found black mold in their apartment. As our conversation went on, we found out that they are Christians! We gave them a copy of my book. Rufus thanked me and whispered, "I have some family members going through cancer right now. Your book will help them."

I am still not 100% health wise! God gets me through each day! Jesus does tell us to live one day at a time, (Matthew 7). It is beneficial to apply to our lives what the Bible teaches us each day!

I do love the weather in the Fall. I just wish it loved me too! Allergies tend to beat me up in late October and November, but the cooler weather is worth it!

In November, I will turn 53 years old. Where has all these years gone? I was 43 years when I got cancer. Wow, ten years later and I am still dealing with the side effects of the cancer treatments! Praise God I am alive!

Thanks for visiting my blog!

May God bless you richly today,

David Walter Wiseman
