Good Day to you,
Today, I will share another excerpt from my book, "Courage and Comfort." Just so you know, reliving what I have been through is tough! Lately, I have been with multiple health issues which brings up memories of my cancer and the treatments to save my life.
I had cancer in both lungs, stomach, and in my brain. In order to determine what type of cancer I had, the oncologists had to get a biopsy. This is how they did it, (page 56). "I was wheeled to the CAT Scan room and laid face down on a narrow, cold steel table. The room was packed with several doctors, nurses, and the CAT Scan technicians. As the steel table moved through the CAT Scan machine, someone told me to hold my breath. After ten seconds, I was told to breathe. The table rolled out and I heard say,"Mark that spot just inside his right shoulder blade right next to the spine." Two more times and two more marks were done on both sides of my back just inside my shoulder blades." Page 57, "The spots that were marked were used to retrieve the biopsies. Three biopsies were needed. Three large needles went through my back and into my lungs. I would imagine being stabbed in the back three times would equal the pain I felt, with or without numbing shots."
I am amazed that I am alive! I had lung cancer, stomach cancer and brain cancer! Honestly, I do not know how to end this blog, except by saying, "Praise the LORD!"
I am His,
David Walter Wiseman
