Walk, Stand, Sit

Good Afternoon,

This last month has been difficult! I am having to deal with my health insurance and getting my medications. Furthermore, my knees still hurt. Yet, I keep hearing God speaking to me through a song on the radio, my wife reminding me who I am in Christ, or through the Bible.

Today's verse is Psalm 1, "Blessed is the one who does not walk in step with the wicked or stand in the way that sinners take or sit in the company of mockers, but whose delight is in the law of the Lord, and who meditates on his law day and night."

My family, mainly my siblings, do not follow Jesus. I have spoken with each one about the love of Jesus, only to be rebuked! So, I feel strongly that I should not, "Walk, Stand, or Sit" with them because they try to make me and my wife as uncomfortable as possible.

If you have family or friends who try to make you believe something other then Jesus, then, with a humble and loving attitude, do not associate with them any longer! They will only keep trampling your beliefs each and every time you visit them. What I am writing to you has taken my years of pain to learn!

Merry Christmas and a Happy and Blessed New Year!

Trust the Lord

Good evening wherever you may be,

The verses I would like to write about today is from the book of Proverbs, Chapter 3:5 & 6. It says, "Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight." Lately, these verses have been a challenge for me.

I have had several injuries in the last five years. Even now, my knees are hurting, my left ankle is sore, and my back is still not 100%. I will be very honest with you. Trusting the Lord and dealing a variety of aliments over the years can be difficult! Yet, I know that the Lord knows what He is doing in me and for me.

"Lean not on your own understanding." I realize that the Lord gave us common sense, but when it comes to understanding His ways, we are not to use it. I do not know about you, but I know that there are times that this is tough for me to not use my common sense. I get in more trouble when I use it for matters concerning the Lord!

"In all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight." I have written to you before  that I have been in constant pain for eleven years. I have a multitude of things I would like to accomplish each day, yet my pain stops me from doing them. So, each morning I ask the Lord, "Here is what I would like to do today... You show which ones I am able to do." Some days I am unable to do anything and other days I am able to wash the dishes! I have to be content with what the Lord allows me to do.

Whatever you are dealing with today, do your best when it comes to these verses. I do know pain. I am doing my best each day. I believe that the Lord pleased when I do my best for him. Now, you do your best for Him.

We must be renewed!

Good Afternoon,

I am feeling much better today, praise the Lord! I have recently had five days of dizziness.
Why, I do not know? Sometimes, we have to trust God when we do not understand.

Today's verse is found in the Book of Romans. Paul writes in chapter 12:2, "Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is---his good, and pleasing and perfect will." How are we to know God's will for us? Here are my suggestions:

Pray to God and ask Him to reveal His will to you. Then, read your Bibles everyday. If you do not have a bible, then pray with other believers and wait for God's answer. Be diligent and keep seeking God.

God has given every person a conscience. We are born with the ability to know right from wrong. Our conscience guides us. When we accept Jesus as our Lord and Savior, we begin our new life in him. This new life is not just spiritual, but emotional, physical and moral. Paul desires that all believers in Jesus become more like Jesus.

God wants all his children to seek him first. Each day before we get out of bed, talk to God and tell Him that you love Him. Say the say same to Jesus and to the Holy Spirit. Then, ask Him to guide you through this day. Do not forget to put on the Armor of God (Eph. 6), before your feet touch the floor.

This world has become so evil that it is clear to every believer in Jesus what not to believe! Although, we must, "be transformed by the renewing of our mind" each and everyday, to keep from being deceived by evil.

Do Not Be Ashamed

Hello again,

Today's message comes from the Gospel of Romans. Paul is speaking to the Romans as he is in house arrest. Chapter 1:16, Paul exclaims,"For I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God that brings salvation to everyone who believes: first to the Jew, then to the Gentile.'' Have you ever been in a situation where people are saying negative things about your faith? If you have, did you speak up and defend your faith?

I ask these questions because all of us who believe in Jesus will have opportunities to defend our faith. Now, there is a time to keep our mouth shut and leave. And there is a time to share our faith. This is where listening to the Holy Spirit comes in!

The Holy Spirit is able to tell us that it is time to leave and find a safe place. Jesus knew when the situation was getting out of control. So, he "slipped away" and the people who wanted to kill him could not find him. I believe that is true for us too.

Many of you who read my blog are in countries where it is against the law to spread the news about Jesus. Others may be in dire circumstances if the government knows you are a Christian. We will not be ashamed of the gospel, but let us use the discernment that come from God the Father to know when to give our testimony or to keep quiet. Just because we might keep quiet, does not mean that we are ashamed! Do not let guilt make you feel unworthy! Trust in Jesus and listen to the Holy Spirit and use common sense!

One last comment, salvation came to the Jews first. After the Jewish people listened to Jesus, then his disciples spread the "Good News about Jesus" to the Gentiles. Gentiles are all the other people of the world.

May God keep you and bless you!

I am His, David Walter Wiseman

No matter your situation, God will never leave you!

Hardest Battles

Good day to you all,

I have been through more pain recently. I was at a football game and I missed a step in the stands and fell on my back. This happened about 12 days ago. Then, I had a shot in each knee. So, for the last two weeks I have been in a great deal of pain.

On Instagram, a friend sent this message, "God doesn't give the hardest battles to his toughest soldiers, he creates the toughest soldiers through life's hardest battles." I do not know about you, but this quote opened my eyes to what God was doing with me! I could write several pages of all my injuries, illnesses, and pain that I have gone though and continue to go though.

In the Bible, Joshua 1:9, God commands, "Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid. Do not be discouraged, for the the Lord your  God will be with you wherever you go."  You may be thinking, "I wonder why David put these two sayings together?"

Well, because in this world right now, Christians face ridicule and hatred for our faith in Jesus Christ. Not only that, but what the Bible tells us what is Godly behavior and what is worldly behavior. There is so much anti-christian attitudes all over the world!

We are in the "the hardest battles" of our lives. Yet, God told Joshua, "Be strong and courageous." Why? Because HE is always with us wherever we go! In illness, pain, persecution, prison, or in good times, in health, wealth and happiness...God is with us!

Keep seeking the LORD and you will find HIM!

God is good even on Monday!

Hello, on a Monday afternoon!

In California today we have fires burning from the northern and southern parts of our state. Please pray for the firefighters!

I have had some sleepless nights lately. As I was praying two nights ago, I felt the need to read the Psalms. I came across this psalm, "The Lord is a refuge for the oppressed, a stronghold in times of trouble. Those who know your name trust in you, for you, Lord, have never forsaken those who seek you." Psalm 9: 9-10

What a great mental picture King David gives us of the Lord! The Lord is a "refuge, and a stronghold." 2017 has been a tough year for me physically, emotionally, and spiritually! I am comforted knowing I am able to take refuge in the Lord Jesus. I am calmed by being in the stronghold of the Lord! I marvel at how much I am loved and protected by the Father, Son, and the Holy Spirit!

I pray that you begin to realize just how much you are loved by the Trinity (Father, Son, Holy Spirit). No matter what we have to through here on earth, THEY know you! Keep reading the
Bible and praying! THEY will never leave you nor forsake you...keep seeking!

I am His,

David Walter Wiseman

Some Monday's feel like this Charley!

In the morning

Hello to you my friend,

It is Friday! I hope and pray that all is well with you and your family. The verses would like to share with you is from Psalm 5:3. King David states, "In the morning, Lord, you hear my voice, in the morning I lay my requests before you and wait expectantly."  This verse helps me talk with our Lord Jesus Christ even before I get out of bed. It also helps me to start my day focusing on other people rather on myself.

The other verse that I read before getting out of bed comes from Proverbs 16:3, "Commit to the Lord whatever you do, and he will establish your plans."  After laying my requests to the Lord, I prayed this verse. Now, I am a person who likes to make lists. This morning I made a list of what I would like to accomplish. Then I committed the list to the Lord. This blog is the last item on my list today! I wish I would do this everyday. Some days I may have early doctors appointments, and other days when I not feeling well I forget to pray before getting out of bed!

I hope and pray that the Holy Spirit will remind me of this wonderful dayI have had today! I am so joyful and grateful to the Lord for guiding me and teaching me how to start each day with prayer. And praying before my feet touch the floor and starting my day!

Hopefully, you will experience this same joy and gratefulness as you start your day with prayer before your feet touch the floor!

David Walter Wiseman

Pray before we start running!!!

Are you weary?

Good afternoon,

Today, I am asking you, "Are you weary?" I have been so weary these last few weeks. The change in my medication and my not seeking Jesus has weighted me down!

Matthew 11:28-30, Jesus states, "Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and by burden is light." Some of us might not know what a "yoke" is. It was used to keep two oxen together when plowing a field. Usually, made of wood and placed on the neck of the oxen. Then the framer could control the direction of the oxen with ropes faceted on the yoke.

Jesus is asking us to, "Take my yoke upon you and learn from me." When we are yoked with Jesus, we have a Savior who is willing to take our burdens and give us rest. Jesus is able to be gentle with us and help us to humble ourselves.

I know that there might be issues in our lives that are difficult to give to Jesus. I want to encourage you to ask Him everyday to help you give everything to Him. Honestly, I am dealing with this in my own life right now! Day by day, I am asking Jesus to take my weariness and my burdens from me.

Keep reading your bible. Those of you who do not have a bible, keep praying to Jesus and yoke up with Him!

I am His,

David Walter Wiseman

p.s. Please pray for the people who were killed or wounded in Las Vegas, Nevada!

So Many Blessings

Hi,

I know it's been a while since I last wrote to you. Let me explain. On August 24th, my medications were lowered. This caused less energy and headaches. I am still learning how to continue with my daily life with these changes that I have no control over.

The Holy Spirit reminded me of Psalm 73 this morning. The Psalmist is dealing with worldly people who seem to have no worries and no health problems. Verse 13 he exclaims,"Surely in vain I have kept my heart pure and have washed my hands innocence." Have you ever felt this way? I know I have felt his cry!

Just three verses later he writes, "When I tried to understand all this, it troubled me deeply till I entered the sanctuary of God; then I understood their final destiny." "Worldly people" do not know Jesus Christ. If they do not know Jesus, then they do not know the Father. Their "final destiny"will not be in heaven, but hell.

In the Gospel of John, he states in chapter 3:16, "For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life." Where is this "eternal life?" In Heaven with God the Father, Jesus the Son, and the Holy Spirit! For how long? Eternity!

I will not lie to you. The last few months have been difficult! But, I know Jesus as my Lord and Savior. One of my all time favorite verses is Philippians 4:13, "I can do all things through Christ who gives me strength."

Our world is a dangerous and difficult place right now. Keep your eyes on Jesus and in the bible. Live one day at a time. Pray often. As my Mother says, "Count your blessings every night!"

May God bless you and keep you, David Walter Wiseman

So many Blessings!

Persistence in Prayer!

A good Saturday to you!

Today in my bible reading in the gospel of Luke, I read about the "The Parable of the Persistent Widow." Then Jesus told his disciples a parable to show them that they should always pray and not give up. He said:"In a certain town there was a judge who neither feared God nor cared what people thought. And there was a widow in that town who kept coming to him with the plea, 'Grant me justice against my adversary.' "For some time he refused. But finally he said to himself, 'Even though I don't fear God or care what people think, yet because this widow keeps bothering me, I will see that she gets justice, so that she won't eventually come and attack me!'"
And the Lord said, "Listen to what the unjust judge says. And will not God bring about justice for his chosen ones, who cry out to him day and night? I tell you, he will see that they get justice, and quickly. However when the Son of Man comes, will he find faith on the earth? (Luke 18:1-8)

This parable reminds me that our Father in Heaven wants to hear from you! He cares for you no matter what you may be going through today! One of Jesus' name is Counselor! He is my counselor! I give him all that weights me down. All the pain I have been through in my life I cast upon my Almighty Counselor! I also praise the Father, Son, and the Holy Spirit with all the blessings in my life! Do not forget, it is a relationship that They want from us! Do not go even one day without praying/talking with Them! Remember, you are able to pray wherever you are... even when you are in the bathroom!!!

My hope is that these blogs about prayer are drawing you closer to the Father, Son and the Holy Spirit!

Jesus praying to his Father

Hello,

Today is Monday, August 14th. I will continue with the topic of prayer. I have been reading in the Gospel of Luke. As Jesus begins his ministry, there was a high demand for him to heal the sick and cast out evil spirits!

In Luke 5:16, this short sentence caught my eye, "But Jesus often withdrew to a lonely places and prayed." Who was he praying to? His Father in Heaven! If the Son needed time alone to pray to his Father, then how much more do we need to find, "Lonely places" to pray to our Heavenly Father?

Remember, the Father created us to be relational people! We need human contact. We need to be able to talk with others and feel connected with them. All the more reason to take time out of your busy day and spend time alone praying with the Father, Son and Holy Spirit!!!

I encourage to create time in your schedule to pray! If that is in the morning, lunch time or even at night... make time to converse with the Father who created you! You will be blessed!

Last reminder, read your bible if you are able to! Go to church and fellowship with other believers. Your Father loves you like a Good Daddy!

Talking with your Heavenly Father

A good Friday afternoon to you!

Yes, I am writing another blog this week😊! I am so blessed by the responses to my blog, that I want to write to you again. I will share with you a story from the Bible.

"Jesus and the Samaritan woman." This story is found in the gospel of John, chapter 4, verses 4-42. Basically, Jesus and his disciples were heading towards Galilee. They had to go through Samaria. Jesus stopped to rest in the town of Sychar. Around noon, a Samaritan woman came to draw water from the well. Jesus asked her to give him a drink of water. The woman replied, "You are a Jew and I am a Samaritan woman. How can you ask me for a drink? As Jesus and the Samaritan woman talked, he asked her to go and get her husband. She said that she does not have a husband. Jesus told her that she has had five husbands and the man she is with now is not her husband. She was amazed that Jesus knew all about her!

In my last blog, I felt led to tell you that if you live in a country where reading a bible is dangerous, then no one can stop you from praying! Jesus said to the Samaritan woman, "Woman, believe me, a time is coming when you will worship the Father neither on this mountain nor in Jerusalem. Yet a time is coming and has now come when the true worshipers will worship the Father in the Spirit and in truth, for they are the kind of worshipers the Father seeks. God is spirit, and his worshipers must worship in the Spirit and in truth."

I want to encourage you to read your bible everyday! If you are unable to do this, then pray to your Father in heaven. The Father created you to have a personal relationship with you. You can talk with Him as if he is sitting in the chair across from you. Tell him all your dreams and all your concerns. Tell him all the people you care for or who need healing. The Father wants to hear from you everyday. Imagine not talking to your husband or wife or best friend for a week! Well, that is how your Heavenly Father feels when you do not talk/pray to him!

I am His, David Walter Wiseman

God is with You!

Good Evening to you,

I hope and pray that this week is going well for you!

I would like to start this blog with a quote from Oswald Chambers, "The saint is hilarious when he is crushed with difficulties because the thing is so ludicrously impossible to anyone but God." This quote is from August 8th. Have you ever felt like this? Recently, I have been experiencing this in my life!

It seems like I get through one tough challenge in my life and another one is waiting for me! Sometimes, I ask God, "Is it possible for a little rest and relaxation before the next challenge?" I am positive that you have been or are feeling the same way!

"In this world you will have trouble, but do not fear for I have overcome the world," Jesus states in John 16:33. World news is so negative! How are we able to have joy in all the evil things that are happening?

Believe it or not, the Bible is the source of my joy! Psalms and Proverbs comfort me every time I read from these two books. The Gospels of Matthew, Mark, Luke and John are inspirational! Paul's writing to the Christian Churches are very encouraging too!

Remember, if you are feeling, "Crushed with difficulties" or being afraid of all the evil in this world, read your Bible. God has said many times that He loves you and will never leave you nor forsake you!!!!!

I realize that there are people reading my blog who cannot read the Bible openly. Take heart, God knows your circumstances! No one can ever stop you from praying quietly wherever you are! God the Father loves you so very much!

Still in AWE!

Hello from sunny and hot Southern California,

Do you know that God is good? I am still in AWE of His love, mercy, kindness, tenderness, and grace! It is so sweet to loved by the Good Father! My hope is that you know Jesus. If you know Jesus, then you will know the Father and the Holy Spirit.

Last Saturday, Nancy and I were at Barnes and Noble in Long Beach, Ca. Barnes and Noble is a book store. It also has a Starbucks Coffee shop. I love coffee! I bought one and the young lady at Starbucks and I talked for a few minutes. I told Ryan that I was a cancer survivor. She was very happy for me😊! I informed her that my book was online here at Barnes and Noble. Ryan said that she would look into my book. I gave my "Courage and Comfort" card. God is good!

As Nancy and I searched for a book for her Mother and a puzzle for her Dad, I commented on a Cross that this man was wearing. I told him, "I like your Cross." Michael proceeded to tell me that the Cross was his wife's. She died two and a half years ago of pancreas cancer. His young daughter was with him at Barnes and Noble. I said, "I am a cancer survivor. I am so sorry for your loss." I gave Michael my book card.

Before I knew it, I was standing next to Michael and asking him, "May I pray for you?" He replied, "Yes." Right there in Barnes and Noble, Michael and I prayed together! He was blessed and so was I!

God is Good all the time! Be ready to be used by God to be a blessing to others! I am still in AWE of God!

I am His

David Walter Wiseman

I am in AWE!

A good Wednesday afternoon to you,

I am in awe of God! As I wrote in my last blog He is restoring me! I have continued to do more in this month of July! Nancy is amazed with how much energy I have! I am too!!!

We have visited the Bolsa Chica Wetlands two more times. We spend around two hours every visit. Nancy is learning more about her camera with each picture. Yesterday, we were there for two hours and she took over 300 pictures😮!

Last night we celebrated my Mother-in-Law's Birthday. Dad & Mom, me & Nancy, and Kelsey & Jorrel. (Kelsey is Nancy's daughter & Jorrel is Kelsey's Finance). Then, we all went to Dad & Mom's house for presents and birthday cake. We had a great time with lots of laughter!

Today, I heard a song as I was driving to do a few errands. "Aint nothing going to steal my joy!"  What an encouraging song! The joy I have with Jesus is wonderful! I do not want anything to seal it! Jesus told us that we will go through many trials while living on the earth! But, He told us not worry. Why? Because He overcame this world😄!!!

I hope and pray that as you have been reading my blogs, Jesus is knocking at the door of your heart! If he is, then let Him in! Just say, "Jesus, I know that I am a sinner and I want you to be my savior. Please come into my heart and heal me from this life I am living!" If you prayed this pray, then tell a friend that is a christian or go to a Bible teaching church and tell the pastor of your decision!

I am HIS,

David Walter Wiseman

God is restoring me!

A good Monday to you all!

God is restoring me! He has allowed me to do more this last week than I have done in the last two years! Nancy & I flew to Las Vegas,  Nevada for her nephew's wedding. It was 114 degrees all weekend! We left on Thursday the 6th of July and returned on Saturday the 8th. God protected us the whole time. By the way, the wedding was at a ski resort 8 thousand feet up on Mt. Charleston.
I bought Nancy a really good camera for her birthday and she took many great pictures of the wedding.

On Tuesday, Nancy & I drove down to Bolsa Chica Beach. Then, we noticed that the Bolsa Chica Wetlands was open. We spent two hours watching the birds and the fish. Nancy was taking so many pictures! I liked how the fish would shot themselves out of the water and into the air! I felt like they were teasing the birds saying, "Catch me if you can!"

Wednesday, Nancy's Dad & Mom went with us to the Santa Ana Zoo. Just to let you know, Nancy's Dad liked her camera so much that he bought on for himself! At the zoo, Dad and Nancy were taking pictures of birds, camels, and monkeys.

Here in Southern California, we are having very humid weather! I do not like humid and hot weather! Yet, God is keeping me safe!

This last Saturday, Dad, Nancy & I went to the Santa Fe Springs Low Rider Car Show. Yes, it was hot & humid! But we did get to look at beautiful cars everywhere we turned our eyes! We spent four hours there. Dad & Nancy were at it again...taking pictures of some really cool cars.

I was blessed at the car show two times! The first blessing came when I saw a booth with huge shaw hats. I noticed that they had one with my favorite N.F.L. team the Rams. I asked, "How much are the hats?' A man told me, "$25." I mentioned that I didn't bring enough money to buy one. We started talking and he found out that I am a cancer survivor. He handed the Rams hat to me and said, "No charge!" Danny & Christine support the Orange County Cancer Society. I gave them one of my book cards and thank them several times.

The second blessing came when I began to get overheated. The three of us bought an Italian Ice cup. Dad told me to sit under this tent. Finally, I felt like I was cooling down when the young couple came up and said, "Glad that you are using our chair to get out of the heat!" I wish I could remember their names. They were very good to me.

Sunday, Nancy & I went to church and then out to lunch. The first bite I took was so spicy! I began to have an allergic reaction. I took my medication and prayed. God protected me again.

Thanks for reading my longest blog!

Good Evening,

It has been four months since I last wrote a blog!

Where to start? Well, I will be as brief as possible. I had a left knee surgery and a seizure in February. Then, another seizure in March and April. In May I had to have two teeth pulled because they were rotten from a car accident when I was 13 years old.

So, let me tell you that God is good to those who love him and are loyal to him!

I got caner when I was 43 years old. Now, I'm 53 and God is beginning to restore me one day at a time. My heath is improving. My spirit is being refreshed. My physical strength is returning.

In the Bible, it states, "Therefore, humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, so that at the proper time he may exalt you. Throw all your worry on him, because he cares for you." This verse comes from 1 Peter 5:7.  God loves a humble person. He loves every person and that is why he sent his one and only son Jesus to save us from our sins and hell
(John 3:16).

I hope to blog more often! If you really want to understand more about me, then keep reading my blogs and go and buy my book, "Courage and Comfort." It's on Amazon, Barnes and Noble and on iTunes. I pray that my journey through cancer and all the side effects will bring you closer to Jesus and me!

I am HIS,

David Walter Wiseman

I agree! Amen!

Till we meet again.

Hello, on a Thursday afternoon,

The title of this blog is to inform you that I will not write again for quite some time. Tomorrow, I will be having surgery on my left knee. After my left knee heals, then I will have surgery on my right knee. I am hoping and praying that I will be able to write to you as soon as possible.

I feel so blessed that you are interested in what I have to share. I have been through a great deal in my life! Without Jesus with me I do not know where I would be at this moment. I cannot imagine my life without my Jesus!

I want to encourage you to review my previous blogs while I am unable to write to you!

Questions?

Hello to you from Southern California,

Yesterday, I received a phone call from my Orthopedic Doctor. I will have surgery on my left knee on the 10th. I hope and pray he does not find anything else wrong with my knee. I do not look forward to having this surgery, yet it is the only way to heal my knee.

God usually heals me through medication. Now, it seems that God will heal my knees through surgery. Thy will be done!

Our grandson Jasper is still in the NICU. He is getting better, but he is having breathing difficulties. I would appreciate your prayers for him. Thank you!

In my book, "Courage and Comfort", you get to meet me and read my journey through cancer. I could have written many more pages, but I wanted to tell you in person what I did not include in the book. Lord Willing, I would love to meet all of you!

If you have any questions for me, I would love to read them!

I am HIS,

David Walter Wiseman

I am happy that Jesus is in me!!

Another Monday...Really!

Good Day to you,

It is amazing how God will let you go through trials and hardships! He is our "Good Father." Those of you who have children, whether they are still living with you or all grown up and out on their own, know that your children must endure hardships if they are to grow and learn. Our Father does the same with His children... you and me. That is if you have accepted Jesus as your Lord and Savior.

Our Father gives his children rules to live by which is the Bible. Our parents gave us rules too. I remember when I was between the ages of 8-18, we had chores to do every Friday. My sister Glenna, who is the oldest of the five children, would write a list of chores and then assign them to us. The list looked like this:

1.  Take out the trash cans to the front yard.
2.  Pick up all the dog messes. (we had 3 dogs)
3.  Wipe down all the woodwork. (our house was built in 1903...lots of woodwork)

I could list more chores, but for the sake of room on this blog I will stop.
Glenna would write our names at the bottom of the list and place the number of the chore under our name. For example:
David
2_______
3_______
When I finished a chore, I would tell Glenna and she would inspect my work. If she was satisfied, then she would check the chore with a mark. If I completed all my chores on Friday, then I could play outside on Saturday. But, if I did not finish my chores, then I had to them on Saturday.
I learned at a young age to work hard. In fact, all five of us became hard workers.

Many times I felt like a "Slave" having to do my chores on "Clean House Friday." Now, looking back I am able to see how all those chores taught me discipline. One thing for sure, I know how to clean a house!

Our Father will allow trails and hardships as a form of discipline. He loves his children and wants them to grow in their faith. He also desires his children to love and trust him. I knew that my parents love me even though I complained about the chores.

Trust God at all times! He will leave nor forsake you!

I am alive... Glory to God

Hello,

God is everywhere! I received a phone call from a self publishing company. The call was not from Xulon Press. It was from another company. I felt the Holy Spirit urging me to call Mark. He had left a  voice mail. Mark and I had a "Divine Appointment."

I was not thinking of a divine appointment when I called Mark. Actually, I was going to tell him to stop bugging me with his phone calls. With this mindset, I called Mark. Something happened when he answered the phone. Instead of telling him to quit calling me, the Holy Spirit came over me and I was nice to him.

After informing Mark that did not have the money to self publish we started conversing. I mentioned that I'm a cancer survivor and Mark told me about his mother. She just finished her cancer treatments.

Then, I stated that I have published a book about my cancer journey. Mark wanted to know the title of my book and where he could view it. I responded, "Courage and Comfort" and it is on Amazon.com, Barnesandnoble.com and iTunes. Remember, Mark is still at work!

He found my book and looked through the first view pages. He was extremely excited to find a book that would help him and his family understand what I went through with cancer and the treatments to cure me. Yes, Mark is going to buy my book. He is also telling as many people as possible about my book!

"Courage and Comfort" is about my cancer journey. But, I need you to understand that the book would not have been written without God! I give God all the Glory for the book and that I am sitting here alive and writing to you!

I an HIS,

David Walter Wiseman

A bit of this and that

Hello,

Today, Donald J.Trump was sworn in as President of the United States of America. Nancy and I watched were touched deeply by the prayers that were prayed before Mr. Trump took his pledge. Actually, the prayers throughout the day were amazing! Praise God! I will admit that I voted for Trump. I will not say anything negetive about Mr. Obama. I am thankful to have a God fearing President in the White House!

My last post came from a couple dark days I had. Do you what is awesome about Jesus? Even on my darkest days, I realize that Jesus is by my side. I have had days when physically I can not do much. Yet, I am able read the Bible and pray for people, and text my friends and family. If you are unable to do much physically, then ask Jesus what you can do to bless others?

I must admit that I like a clean house. So, on the days I am physically limited, I use to struggle with a kitchen sink full of dirty dishes. But, I have learned that the dishes will wait for me until I have the strength to do them. It is the same with the dust. Trash on the other hand will not wait. Nancy is gracious enough to take it out when she gets home from work.

I encourage you not to put so much pressure on yourself! If one of those "dark days" shows up, then seek Jesus! Last Monday I spent most to the day in bed crying out to HIM! Peaceful sleep then followed.

Jesus tells us to take one day at a time! Lets just think about that statement...are we able to do anything else? No! We cannot go back in time or go to the future. We have today. Each night when the day is done, give God the Glory for the blessings that came to you!!!

When I sat down in front of my computer, I knew I wanted to write something. I ask the Holy Spirit to assist me with writing to you. Thankfully, the Holy Spirit always inspires me to write.

May your weekend be relaxing and blessed!
!
Keep on trying!!!

The same fight!

Good Afternoon,

Have you ever received a revelation for God and the next moment you get hit with difficult circumstances? This is happening to me right now! Nancy and I went to Dana Point last weekend. We had a wonderful time. We walked so much and met so many people. God blessed our trip!

Monday, my knees hurt! The pain was like when I first hurt them ten months ago. Today has been a struggle too. I did not get out of bed until noon. I ate breakfast, sent out the verse of the day and went back to bed.

I'm writing this to you so that you will realize that we all have days like this. Pray, do what you are able to and be determined to get through the day! Even if the thought of suicide crosses your mind. Reject it in Jesus' name and that thought will flee!

It is the same fight! It is worth fighting! At the end our fight we will be in Heaven!!! So, do not give up! Keep fighting the good fight!!!!

Thank you for reading!

Keep On Fighting!

Greetings,

Lets get right to it! I went to the dentist yesterday and I found out that I will be losing two more teeth. I do not have the bottom right molars. They were pulled two years ago. One was infected and the other cracked. All my teeth were affected by the whole brain radiation I received as part of my cancer treatment. Twenty days of whole brain radiation also gave me seizures which I take medication every night. The hair my head will not grow back because the radiation, so I am bald for the rest of my life!

So, I will need to have four implants in the near future. God will provide. I just do not how. This is where trust in God comes in!

February 10, 2007, will mark my ten year anniversary of knowing I was sick. February 26, of the same year, I found out that I had cancer through the use of x-ray. Ten years later, I am still dealing with the side effects of "Cancer Treatment!" My Oncologist in Texas, Dr. Ralph Heaven, said to me, "David, cancer will be a part of you life for the rest of your life!" My response, "Geez, I'm only 43 years old!" Dr. Heaven was right!

Those of you out there fighting cancer do not give up! Even though I am not as healthy as I want to be, I alive!!! I have a loving wife, a grandson, and another grandson due any day. I have four daughters who are remarkable. I am so grateful to God that He is healing me day by day.
My book, "Courage and Comfort" is helping people.

Jesus is my Lord & Savior

It's Saturday!

I just got back from having lunch with our pastor. Pastor Bob and I talked and ate and talked. When he dropped me off at home, he handed me a white envelop and said,"This is from the church family." We prayed together in the car. I sat down at the dinning room table and opened the envelop. There was a check. A very generous amount!

Nancy & I have been praying to God about our lack of money. Food, gasoline, and bills that we could not pay and now we are able to with quite a bit left over! Praise God!!!

I am writing to you about this because we all have times in our lives that are difficult. Whether it is health, financial, emotional, or spiritual. God answers prayers!

Today I am 8 years Cancer Free! God is the One who saved me from cancer. Today is a bitter sweet day for me too. Three years ago, my Dad passed on my five year cancer free day.

If you do not know Jesus as your Lord & Savior please do not wait any longer. Pray and ask Him into your heart! It is the best decision you will ever make! If you do not know what to say try this, "Jesus, I know that I am a sinner. Please come into my heart and be my Lord and Savior." Then, find someone you know who is a Christian and tell them that you have accepted Jesus as your Savior. They should be joyful and help you start your new life!

I accepted Jesus at 12 years old. Jesus is always with me! He will be with too!

David Walter Wiseman

So very true!

A Happy and Blessed New Year!

Hello,

I hope your Christmas was happy and blessed! Now, it's 2017! How times flies by is amazing to me! I remember when I was twenty-five years old and calculating how old I would be in the year 2020. I will be fifty-seven years old in 2020.
My Dad use to say to me, "David, I look in the mirror and wonder who that is looking back at me?" I am starting to think the same thing. I would like to say that I do not feel 53 years old, but my body reminds me that I am.
I played football at San Gorgornio High School in San Bernardino, California. I played college football at Azusa Pacific University in Azusa, California. My position on the team was offensive line man. I was one of the players that moved the other team's player out of the way for our running back to score a touchdown. I hope you understand what I just explained.
I mention this because American Football is a brutal game. As an Offensive Lineman, I hit the other team's player on every play. I have fond memories of sitting on my couch after the football game and being so sore...like being in a car accident every Saturday! I guess you could say that I loved pain.
After playing football, I coached High School Football for 13 years. I was a "hands on" coach. When teaching the offensive line how to block, I would physically show the lineman how it should be done. Needless to say, my body has been beat up for many years. Oh yeah, include weight lifting since I was 15 years old.
Now, let's add all I went with the cancer treatments and that's why by body lets me know quite often that I am 53 years old!
Just to let you know, the shots in my knees did not work! As I am writing to you today, my knees are hurting. I have pain on the inside of my right knee and in the middle of my left knee.
The only reason that I am alive is because God has saved me all my life. I might blog about my past or I might not. I am so thankful I accepted Jesus has my Savior when I was 12 years old! He has been and is always with me everyday of my life!!! I encourage you to seek Jesus and make that decision to let Him be your Savior! You will so blessed if you do!!!
I do enjoy watching football on television. I have all this football knowledge and do not what to do with it...maybe I will write a book!

I enjoy sharing my life with you! If you have any prayer requests, please do not hesitate to leave a comment. Nancy & I will pray for you!

Charlie and I love God & Football!
